Each semester creates fresh, possibly transformative, opportunities for our educational community. Thank you for all you do to make our community thrive, your commitment to our values, and your dedication to our mission. I am honored to be on this journey with you. I hope your semester is filled with positive academic and cultural experiences and memorable campus interactions.
If the office times do not work for your schedule - please e-mail me your project and I would love to review it.
I love proof-reading papers.

Jonna Johnson

Supplemental Instructor - Science

“Conquer your classes with Java, Jokes, and Jonna.”

I am so dedicated to your success that I spent 20 years traveling the globe gathering tools for thriving.  I've lived in 15 states, four reservations and three national parks.  Prior to traveling the globe, I proudly attended an overabundance of amazing schools including a happy elementary school, Montessori, a year at an environmental education school, a super awesome public school, then a few colleges - just to have a well-rounded educational foundation. This diverse educational background has given me more tools and resources to help you succeed. No matter your background, no matter the subject, I am primed to help you succeed.
Can you guess which places I have lived?  You could win a prize!
First place goes to those who identify my home 15 states.   Second place for identifying which reservations. Third place for identifying the three national parks.

Madison Kennedy-Kequom

Supplemental Instructor - History, Native American Studies

Aanii! I am very excited to join the Student Success Center and be of help to you! I will be helping you with history, Native American studies, and OJB101.

I graduated from MSU with a major in Comparative Cultures & Politics and there I became familiar with many skills needed for college. Such as the research process, reading academic journals, planning & writing papers, citing/references, editing, etc. I also know how challenging language learning can be, as I have been both the teacher and student! I love talking about language learning, linguistics, study methods, etc. So, I can help with review/studying, goal setting/planning, & anything else to help your language journey.

But aside from the serious stuff, I love drawing, beading, and design. I am always down to help, give advice, and be a part of your journey in education! Miigwech!

Natasha Miniard

Supplemental Instructor - Mathematics

I’m the one with the color-coded notes, the extra highlighters, and a borderline magical ability to explain math in a way that actually makes sense. I’ve been in education for over 10 years, and I still get fired up every time a student has that “ohhh I get it now” moment. When I’m not helping you make sense of your homework, I’m probably running a trail, lifting something heavy, or building something weirdly specific from scratch—so yes, I totally get being busy and burned out. I’m here to help you tackle the tough stuff, ask the questions you think are “dumb” (they’re not), and walk out of our sessions feeling like a genius—or at least a genius-in-progress. Come say hi. We’ll figure it out, and maybe even have a little fun.
