FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  This is an application which determines a student’s eligibility for federal funding.  The application opens October 1st every year for the following school year. 

 

This application needs to be submitted every year.  Please note, SCTC only participates in the Pell Grant program.  The Pell Grant is a need-based, gift aid program which will assist students with the cost of higher education.  Applications are available on the web at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa, SCTC's school code is 037723.

The FAFSA will ask for financial information based on your income tax returns and income earned.  Please note there are exceptions for those who receive Per Capital funding.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
