Greetings and welcome to the Department of Student Services
Our department is all about supporting SCTC students. It is made up of the following:
- Office of the Dean of Student Services
- Registrar and Admissions
- Student Financial Aid
- Katy denHeeten Student Resource Center
- Placement Testing
Feel free to stop in at the Dean’s office anytime for advising, degree audits, or with questions. The Dean also takes care of Graduation Applications and transfer credits.
The Registrar / Admissions Officer can help you with advising and will process your course registrations, drop/add forms, or withdrawal forms. The Registrar / Admissions Officer also takes care of transcript requests and can provide you with your schedule.
Our Financial Aid Officer is here to help you with all of your financial aid needs, including Pell grants, TIP scholarships, scholarships from your tribe, AICF scholarships, and internal SCTC scholarships. The FAO can help you through the financial aid process and answer any questions you have along the way.
The "Katy denHeeten Student Resource Center" is overseen by our Academic Skills Specialists, they teach the Math and English refresher courses as well as oversee the tutors and coordinate a variety of activities offered through the KDSRC. We have tutors available all week, including evenings, to help you be successful in your courses. The KDSRC also has resource and library materials, copy machine and laminator for your use.
Placement testing in reading, writing, and mathematics is required of all new students. Please see the Dean, Registrar / Admissions Officer or Financial Aid Officer to arrange for placement testing.
